Arrested Development - Season One

It was a beautiful uncharacteristically warm day today so I decided to go for a walk on South Street. During my walk I had my first Philadelphia celebrity sighting. Now, you may or may not know who this is, but I referenced her in my last entry!!! It was Nik from America's Next Top Model!! And not only did I see her once, but I saw her THREE times. I didn't know what to say to her, but I did smile at her a lot.
So that was definately the highlight of my day.

Yesterday I saw End of The Spear, a really great movie that I highly reccommend. It was based on the work on Jim and Elisabeth Eliot and their team among the Waodoni People. It was incredibly moving and well done. One of the best movies that I have seen put out by the Christian community. Go See IT!!

My roommate situation is so confusing that I barely understand what's going on, but I will attempt to explain. I live in a 2 bedroom apartment and there are 4 girls total, 2 to each bedroom. The girl that I shared a bedroom with last semester, Arlen transfered to University Of Hawaii, so she is gone. Then housing gave us the name of our new roommate who never showed up. So that meant that my room was left vacant. Then Thursday morning, my roommate Lisa tells me she is moving out and within 3 hours everything was gone. So, she moved home which is only like 20 minutes away and she stays there a lot anyway because she works right there. So, it became me and Reavey each with our own room. Then our neighbor from across the courtyard who had a pretty rough living situation decided to move into Reavey's room, which she is currently doing. Then I talked to Lisa yesterday and she said housing refused to give her money back, so she might be moving back in with us or getting a single dorm...and that is my current living status. Fun Times. Right now there is an extra bed in my room, which I treat as a couch. I love, love, love having my own room...and I hope that this doesn't change. So although I miss Lisa, I am loving my current living situation.

HOLY CRAP!! Jimmy Needham is on Amazon.  Praise God for my dear friend's success.

This week was full of firsts.  My first time to see snow on my car.  Building my first snowman.  Passing my first assessment.  Ordering my first laptop.

iBook G4 TopiBook G4 FrontYAY!!

Despite the stress of this week, I am having fun.  It snowed a bunch on  Monday night and I made my roommate Reavey play in the snow with me.  We got a few crazy looks, but my response was always, "..I'm from TEXAS!", which I think gives me permission to "act a fool" when it snows.

Speaking of roommates, my other roommate, Arlen is transferring and moving to Hawaii.  So weird.  I wish her the very best though...and Arlen, we'll always have facebook.

..and I am more than a little upset that Nicole won America's Next Top Model.  Nik was the winner from day 1.  tyra, you disappoint me.

 Nik, The REAL winner.

I wish I could take pictures of all the snow because it is so beautiful, but alas, I left my camera in Houston over Thanksgiving Break.  Which reminds me, in only 5 days, my aunt, sister and mother will be flying to philly to hang out, and then we will head to NYC for 2 days.  yay!!

Countdown to Winter Bliss: 1 Minor Quiz, 1 difficult final, 1 moderate final, and 1 easy final.  wish me luck.

- King & A Kingdom

Today was a landmark day.. I wore heels to class for the first time ever...and it wasn't horrible. =)

Maybe I will attempt this again later.

So, Thanksgiving was great.  Time on the lake with the fam is always fun.

I'm back and projects are due all the freaking time...but I'm not really stressed.  School is almost over and going home seems bittersweet.  I can't wait to see friends in Houston, but I also feel like I am putting my Philly life on hold.  I am just starting to get into the swing of things here. Oh well, I'll be back in a month.

Oh, I almost forgot...over the break I got one of these:

Senior RingExcept mine say 06.  Yes, I realixe that I did nto graduate from A&M, but I really wanted one, and I had 95 hours...and I don't care about a LaSalle one.  Whoop!!

Man, this semester has flown by.

Plans for the Christmas Break:

1. Spend good quality time with Jesus.

2. Get back in shape (i.e. start running again)

3. Hang out with people that make me think

4. Do absolutely NO school work.

5. Go to the dentist

6. Soak up the Texas warmth.

7. Read for fun (Through Painted Deserts, The Bible Jesus Read)

8. Redesign some of my clothes (this may or may not actually happen)

9. Go for walks and enjoy the outdoors

10. Go skiing in Colorado hopefully.
